Membership
The Central YMCA is a membership organization. We welcome all individuals, regardless of age, income, background and ability. Meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities or special needs is both a legal and ethical responsibility of the YMCA. Our programs are designed to enhance the quality of your life and are geared to the development of character values.

To participate in our many programs and services, you can choose either a Facility Membership or a Basic Membership. Benefits and fees vary. Call or visit the Central YMCA for more information.
Facility Membership Benefits
With a Facility Membership, you have full use of the facilities in five different YMCA locations in Santa Clara Valley. This includes the YMCA fitness centers and a free fitness center orientation, unlimited group exercise classes, and lap and recreational swimming. Facility members also are eligible for reduced fees on specialty classes and programs.
Basic Membership Benefits
For those who want to participate in a particular class or program such as swim lessons, youth sports, child care, parent-child programs, etc., and do not wish to become a facility member, a Basic Membership is ideal. General usage of the YMCA is not included. Fees vary per class or program.
Bay Area Membership
A Bay Area Membership provides membership privileges at any of the YMCA locations in the Bay Area region of northern California. Enjoy access to the hundreds of programs, classes and activities to choose from. Benefits and fees may vary. A list of participating Bay Area YMCAs is available here.
AWAY Program (Always Welcome At YMCAs)
During your travels outside of the Bay Area, your membership card entitles you to visit more than 2,000 locations across the country and worldwide. Some guest fees may apply. For details, call (888) 333-9622 or visit www.ymca.net and enter the zip code of the city which you will be visiting.
