Annual Community Support Campaign
The communities served by the YMCA of the Redwoods/Camp Campbell
rely heavily on donor contributions to make programs possible for
people who can’t afford them. In addition to funding more than
$100,000 of financial assistance, donors also help subsidize crucial
YMCA programs in underserved neighborhoods, including youth sports
activities, teen programs, and family events.

Creating Opportunities - One Child at a
Time
Our
2008 Community Support Campaign's challenging goal is $80,000.
Today, thousands of our youth and teens benefit from Camp
Campbell programs - an experience that lasts a lifetime!
YMCA resident camp, day camp, and child care are designed
to teach young people important life lessons and build self-esteem.
It provides the necessary framework for young people to achieve
success by instilling confidence and reinforcing developmental
assets. These essential assets, or character building blocks,
are delivered daily through positive experiences, opportunities,
and proper role models.
Consistent
exposure to the 40 developmental assets is crucial in preparing
our youth for success. In addition to strengthening the individual,
YMCA of the Redwoods also builds strong families through family
camp programs, parent/child weekends and family cookouts and
dinners with day camp and child care participants.
Your
donation ensures that the YMCA maintains accessibility for
all and is crucial in helping us strengthen youth and families
throughout our entire community.

YMCA Volunteer Campaigners
Each year, groups of community volunteers work together to raise the money that makes these programs possible. Over the course of several months, these Volunteer Campaigners ask members of our community to make charitable donations to the YMCA.
