We look forward to teaching your student here at YMCA Camp Campbell Outdoor Science School (CCOSS). We hope you both are excited about this educational experience that he/she is about to embark upon. We understand that it takes a lot of trust on your part to send your child to a residential program, and that for a lot of students this is their first time away from home. Camp Campbell Outdoor Science School is a great place for your child to take this important first step. In this setting, they are in cabin groups with other students from their school so they will have familiar faces to help them feel at ease (there may also be some students from another school in their cabin so they will have a chance to make new friends). In addition, the classroom teachers from your school play an active role in your child’s experience, and serve almost as a “parental” figure while they are away from home. The CCOSS program is well structured and well supervised, giving students the best possible opportunity to succeed! You are welcome to learn more about our program through the following links.
