Camp Campbell Day Camp is a fun and safe way for children entering grades 1-9 to spend their summer. We offer a variety of activities, games and educational programs each and every day. There is a perfect combination of activity rotations and free choice activities. All activities promote values such as honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Camp Campbell has an experienced, energetic and fun staff that are highly trained to work with children of all ages. There are three Day Camp Programs which are designed to meet the needs of different age groups:

Discovery Camp- is for children entering grades 1-3. This is a fun and safe environment which promotes creativity and self-awareness through activities, games and songs. Discovery campers will have an 8 to 1 camper to staff ratio in order to provide the guidance and attention that they deserve.

Explorer Camp- is for children entering grades 4-6. This camp focuses on developing friendships and working as a team. These children will hopefully gain an understanding of the importance of our core values, not just towards themselves or adults but also their peers.  Explorer campers will have a 10 to 1 camper to staff ratio.

Teen Camp- is for adolescents entering grades 7-9. This camp offers many adventurous activities and games which help each kid discover who they are as an individual. We encourage the teen campers to have an open mind and respect their peers’ individual choices. Teen Campers will have a 10 to 1 camper to staff ratio. 

Note: Each Wednesday field trips allow children to experience some of the greatest activities Santa Cruz and San Jose have to offer. Our staff are trained in field trip management. Activity groups (on trips) have two staff per group and move as a pack from event to event. Communication between groups is maintained and the day camp director often serves as a primary “home base” to manage the teams in motion.

Each Session begins with a Monday Rally at 9:00 AM and ends with a weekly closing ceremony that celebrates the weeks lessons and adventure.

Day Camp Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Extended Care hours are available at no additional charge from 7:00 AM-9:00 AM and 5:00 PM-6:30 PM. These are drop in hours, but should be communicated with the camp director for them to plan sufficient staffing.
