Family Camps at YMCA Camp CampbellFAMILY CAMPS at YMCA CAMP CAMPBELL

Family camps provide a wholesome and caring atmosphere that allows families to spend quality time together without the many distractions that exist in our fast-paced society. Heated cabins, hot meals and exciting activities create the perfect weekend in the heart of the redwoods; the Santa Cruz Mountains.

YMCA of Santa Clara Valley offers Mother & Daughter Weekends, Mother & Son Weekends, Father & Child Weekends, Single Parent & Child Weekends, Grandparent & Grandchild Weekends, Women's Wellness Weekends and Family Camps for the entire family. Each program has activities designed to bring the family closer together while allowing each participant to choose their favorite activities to participate in.

Activities include climbing our 35' climbing tower, zipping down our cable slide, making some arts and crafts, playing ga-ga ball and other sports, swimming (seasonal), singing and performing at evening campfires, star studies, nature hikes, teambuilding activities and much more.

Mother/Daughter WeekendMother and Child Weekends
Mothers and their children (3 years and older) stay in our heated cabins with families with similar age children to create new friendships for parents and kids alike. Scheduled activities are all optional. Participants can do as much as possible or as little. Evening campfires are the some of the best live entertainment available. Perform skits and songs or demonstrate those hidden talents that have been waiting for the appropriate opportunity to surface.

Quality meals, prepared by our staff, are delicious and nutritious. Buffet breakfasts and family-style lunch and dinner give moms and their children the opportunity to have meals be prepared for them, and then bus their dishes and re-focus on what counts; quality time with their child.

Check-in is on Friday evening between 6:00 PM an 7:30 PM. The first meal is Saturday Breakfast, as there is no meal service on Friday evening. Check-out is on Sunday after a BBQ lunch (seasonal).

Father and Child WeekendFather and Child Weekend
Dads this is your chance to get away from the distractions of your daily lives and focus on your relationship with your kids.

You'll share a cabin with Dads that have similar age kids. Cabins are co-ed and not used as changing areas. You can share parenting stories with dads while showing your kids that you too can shoot arrows with the best of them, or learn to climb on our 35' climbing tower, join our annual basketball shootout or sit and have some quiet time playing cards with your son or daughter, the choice is yours.

Wonderful moments happen all the time at camp, and this is an opportunity for you to share these important moments in your child's life. Making s'mores by the campfire, having your kids act out important life lessons that they learned from you at campfire, watching your child create artistic masterpieces or witnessing your child overcoming their fears to jump off the cable slide landing and zipping down our 75' zipline are moments that, as a dad, you can't miss out on.

Come up and join us and find out why so many families are talking about YMCA Camp Campbell. We'd love to welcome you into our family!

Women's Wellness WeekendWomen's Wellness Weekend
Break away from your busy schedule and spend some time focused on yourself.

This is your chance to meet some new friends and focus on personal power. Nutrition classes, NIA, Pilates, Yoga, Cardio, and numerous other fitness classes combine with camp activities like climbing, scrapbooking, arts and crafts, archery, cable slide, sports, swimming, campfires and some good old fashion fun to make this one of our favorite weekends of the year.

Health and Fitness professionals from all over the YMCA of Santa Clara Valley let their hair down and combine relaxing in the beautiful redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains with great food, some new friends, and opportunities to improve your total health.

We share cabins (groups of 6-10) with folks with similar interests and form friendships that last a lifetime. Meals are healthy, warm and delicious.

Daughters 16 years and older are welcome to attend with a parent.

It wouldn't be the same without you.

Grandparent WeekendGrandparent Weekend
Give mom and dad that much needed break and round up all your grandchildren for the weekend of your life. Kids and Grandparents share cabins with other families that have similar age children, and with their new friends can shoot some arrows at the archery range, climb the 35' climbing tower, make some crafts, play some sports or sit quietly in the woods and read a good book.

Let us take care of the meals and planning. We'll lay out a schedule of activities and grandparents and grandchildren can do as much or as little as they like. Camp helps create a multi-family extended family that many kids have not experienced. You've heard the expression “"It takes a community to raise a child"?” We are building that community. We hope you join us.

Minimum age for this camp is 5 years old. Maximum age is 105.
